For this particular case, our patient had old veneers that had started to fracture, that looked unnatural, not possessing the beautiful translucency of a natural tooth.
The old veneers were very monochromatic and flat in color, not possessing the subtle variations in color from the gum-line to the biting edge of the tooth that naturally occurs. Additionally, we were able to correct the proportions of the teeth so they did not appear so short and squat. If you notice, in the before photos, the patient's natural midline of her upper lip did not align with the midline where the two front veneers meet. For the new veneers, we were able to match the midline of the patient's teeth much more closely to the patient's midline of the upper lip. Overall these changes create a more natural, and beautiful smile for the final product.
