Our intraoral camera (pictured to the left) allows us to show patients what is happening in areas of their mouth that they otherwise cannot see. Giving our patients the ability to visualize problem areas in their mouth helps them engage more fully in the conversation with Dr. Skvorak about treatment options. We use the intraoral camera as an adjunctive tool to establish transparency with patients. It is important to us that patients are able to ask their dentist questions regarding why they need treatment as well as about their treatment options. The intraoral camera helps us to answer some of these questions in a visual way. Additionally, patients then have the ability to see the finished product after completing treatment with the dentist if it is in a hard to see area, such as the tongue side of a tooth or a posterior tooth.
