We have lots of fun news to share with everyone. We have had an exciting few months in our office!
We kicked off our Summer, a little early, with a trip to Bar Harbor the first weekend of June for continuing education. The whole office was able to attend a day long lecture about chronic inflammation and insulin resistance led by Dr. Tieraona Low Dog. We learned ways to reduce & prevent chronic inflammation and insulin resistance. Our goal is to use our new found knowledge to lead healthier lives and educate and empower our patients to do the same.
The pictures above were taken by some of our office staff while we were in Bar Harbor. Some of us were able to stay the day after the class and enjoy the beautiful scenery that Bar Harbor has to offer, while some of us had to rush home the next day to various things. Cindy for example rushed home to so she could see her son at his 8th grade semi-formal dance (see the picture below).
Other important and even more exciting news....
Betsy's son, Eddie proposed to his girlfriend and she said yes! Eddie and his fiance, Kari are the owners and operators of Snappy's Tubesteaks, a delicious hot dog stand in Portland. (Hence the picture of the hot dog with the ring!) No date has been set yet, but we are very happy for them and wish them the best as they start their wedding planning. If you happen to see them while buying a hot dog this summer, make sure to congratulate them!
Allison, one of our hygienists, and her husband got a puppy on Mother's day! Stella is a black golden doodle puppy who is as sweet as she is playful. Allison's husband, Mark, brought Stella by the office last week during our lunch break so we could all meet her and we fell in love!
Most recently, Sam's oldest son and the Dr.'s grandson, Noah, graduated from preschool. Noah is very excited to start kindergarten next year!
And Cindy's daughter, Jillian, just had her end of the year dance recital. Doesn't she look so cute with her dance costume on? Jillian is also starting kindergarten in the fall!
We hope you are all having a great start to summer. We always love to hear stories from everyone about your latest adventures and big news when you come in for your dental appointments. We wish you all a beautiful, healthy, fun summer!
